I know most of the people who say this have good intentions, trying to calm the deniers who squawk about how "it's record low temperatures therefore global warming is a lie". But does it really have any basis in fact? Is there really any way for global warming to directly lead to more record low temperatures? I always say no, but I guess I'm not really sure.
If not, where did this myth come from?
